No one died: Adventures in Living What you Dream

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

~Mark Twain

In 2008, I did something that many people think about, but few do. I quit my job, sold everything I owned, bought a boat and sailed 1,000 miles down the Mexican Baja – with only 6 days of sailing lessons.

Often when you hear a presentation like this, it’s all sunshine and margaritas…with the speaker imploring everyone in the audience to do what they did.

This presentation is NOT like that at all. While I am *completely* in favour of the idea of living life to the fullest and “living your dream” – in hindsight, I would NOT have taken this trip. This is your opportunity to learn from my very expensive lesson.

I’ll share the nitty gritty – what worked, what didn’t – and what I would do differently if I had a “do over.”

This presentation is funny, honest…and also inspirational. (Overall, I don’t regret taking this adventure…I just wished I hadn’t had to learn so many things the hard way!)

Who is this for?

Suitable for a general audience. (And I will adapt the presentation to suit your group.)

I can adapt the presentation for a 20 – 60 minute time slot. Longer presentations include (fun!) interactive activities.
